Accessibility statement

Our commitment to WCAG 2.2 AA and accessible practice for every member.

Our target

This website is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We test structure, keyboard operation, focus visibility, contrast, form labelling, error identification and reflow at 320px and 200% zoom.

Built-in reading tools

  • Text size: standard, large and extra large.
  • High contrast: a high-visibility palette for low vision.
  • Dyslexia-friendly reading: wider letter and word spacing, taller line height and a clearer font stack.
  • Reduced motion: removes non-essential animation and smooth scrolling.
  • Easy Read: short sentences and plain-language summaries on key pages and articles.
  • Braille-ready text: every article and event can be downloaded as plain text with headings, dates and lists preserved, ready for a refreshable braille display or embossing workflow.
  • Screen reader semantics: landmarks, skip links, descriptive headings, table captions and form instructions.
  • Reasonable adjustments: applicants can record access requirements in the join form; these are never published.

Known limitations

  • Third-party registration pages linked from events are outside our control. We ask organisers to state their access features.
  • Some partner documents may be supplied as PDF. We will provide an accessible alternative on request.
  • Braille output quality depends on the reader or embosser used; our plain-text export preserves structure rather than formatting.

Feedback

If something blocks you, tell us. Email [email protected] or use the contact form and choose “Accessibility”. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two working days.

This statement was prepared for the ADRGP v1 release. It will be re-tested at each release and after any major content change.
